At 10.5 months Evan finally hit 17 pounds! I did not think it would ever happen. Weight gain seems so slow now compared to the first few months. He is loving walking around and is sooo fast. Now he go from sitting to standing without holding onto anything which will make the kids (and moms) at gymboree happy. Up until now he would find the closest kid in class to hold onto when trying to stand and most of the time ended up knocking them over. Walking update: Evan is walking all over the place!! It seems to have happened overnight. Now that he realizes he can walk that is all he wants to do. Most of today was spent walking from room to room exploring from a new viewpoint. He is really fast too! Very exciting and scary.

Evan is starting to take quite a few steps now although it really doesn't seem to phase him. Check out the short video...

10 Months! Well not officially until tomorrow at 2:41 pm but Evan had his 10 month check up yesterday. He is 16 pounds 14 ounces- almost made it to 17 but came up a little shy. He took his first steps last week and has been taking a few steps each day since but nothing major yet. His latest accomplishment is climbing down the stairs. A couple of days ago he just decided to do it and now he climbs up and goes back down (backwards) over and over again all day long. He has 6 teeth now and it seems that the bottom 2 are on the way. Tonight is the first Steelers game of the new season so Evan has his Steelers gear on today. Hopefully the fact that he spit up on it 2 minutes after I put in on him is not a bad sign...
