Happy Thanksgiving!! It wasn't Evan's first one but it was his first attempt at eating Thanksgiving dinner. It did not go so well. He only ate peas and carrots and refused turkey, cranberry sauce, sweet potatoes and stuffing. Oh well, maybe next year. Before dinner he had lots of fun knocking down towers of cups and blocks, dancing and finding the "A" on his alphabet mats. He has a new dance he loves to do which we call the "maniac dance" where he sort of runs in place really fast and his new favorite thing is brushing his teeth. He gets very excited when he sees the toothbrush and does not want to give it back. Sometimes we have to fight him for it so he does not take it to bed with him.

Evan had his first birthday party and it think he had fun once he woke up. We scheduled the party around his usual "nap" time but he had other plans. He did not fall asleep until almost on hour later than usual and then slept for over an hour which is very rare. He was sleeping in his stroller and we did not want to disturb him so left him in the garage which everyone seemed to get a big kick out of. Anyway, he missed the first hour of the party but was very well rested and ready to go when he got up.

What is all this singing about?

EVAN IS ONE YEAR OLD!!!!! Today is the big day and we are all excited except Evan. He has no clue that it is his first birthday. Both Grandmas and both Grandpas are here to see him and we had a great cup cake smashing extravaganza after dinner tonight. Evan loves smashing the cake squishing the icing and smearing it around but did not like to eat it. I tried putting some in his mouth a couple of times but it just spit it out. Crazy kid!!
